Title: Fallow to fertile: Creating more word-rich
environments for language students
Language teachers can flood their
classrooms with words, thus creating more word-rich
environments for their learners. Attendees will be asked to
participate in pair/group discussions, react to the ideas
proposed and consider ways they can change the landscape of
learning opportunity for their students.

Joshua Cohen
is an instructor of English as a Foreign Language in the
Language Center at Kwansei Gakuin University. His interests
include vocabulary acquisition, task-based teaching and
creative writing.
